What an achievement! Well done Wendy!

I will abandon my folksy friday in favour of a fellow crafter who has just reached a mega milestone!

Wendy at www.1stuniquegifts.co.uk has reached an AMAZING 50,000 visits to her well established blog here. Well done Wendy!!! She has worked so had so deserves everything she has achieved. I will remain a little bit envious of her determination and drive....

This has to be one of my favs from her hanging door plaques

Woohoo! Postie is here!!

Don't you just love it when your postman (or lady!) comes a knocking and brings you something your been absolutely, desperate to receive!!!

I brought a while ago some devine (dribbles a litle!) PUL fabric which is the waterproof  nappy wrap stuff. I brought mine from Hiliary at http://pocket-bots.com/index.htm who is a really lovely lady!

I ordered a KAM pliers set for my lushy plastic poppers which has just arrived this morning which will be my trusty fasteners...

So Pocket Bots meet KAM Pliers and ta da.... a waterproof, washable, soft, comfy, travel change mat!

I'm so happy at how this has turned out. Lets hope everyone loves it as much as I do!

Lots of lovely lushy colours, and something a little bit different to the floral tweeness of some bunting.

Torturing Toys!

Its been a hair pulling out journey at times this whole CE malarky. But I'm there! I've done it! Wohoo!! Time for some well earnt celebrating!!

My local TS officer came today to inspect my files. He's been really helpful todate, pointing me in the right direction of legislation etc.

I've had some head banging moments, and I am sure there might be more to come, but its done. Toys dully burnt, pulled, poked and prodded!! I've put in some pics of my torturing :o( Poor chickie....

virgin for slaughter!

X marks the spot!

roasted chick anyone?!

some eye poking!

Our take on a push me pull you!
Luckily hubby is an engineery type and we had lots of torture impliments already. I would have struggled without him as I did ok at interpreting the legislation but application is not my bag!

So anyway, the moral of the story is....it was tricky, but its done, I'm as legit as can be!

Slugs & Lettuce!

Well the arrival of spring (well I do have snowdrops outside flowering!) brings forth new life and for me this year I want to plant up the garden full of yummy things to eat.

But obviously theres the issue of those pesky slugs....below are some combos of slugs and lettuces that are less squishy and much more pleasant to look at!!

Fit for a Prince!!! (And a good stash buster too!)

Ta da!!! So shh as these are birthday gifts for two little men that I know.

I wanted to try and keep to handmade for gifts this year, and also being a little skint, I turned to 'what I know best'. Sewing...

I have accumulated a HUGE bag of fabric scraps from my sewing endeavours over the last year and have been reluctant to throw them away.

I had also started looking at crowns to take part in my dressing up range and was thinking about boys as well. They are often overlooked I think.

So .... sew..... a crazy patchwork crown!!! It has an elasticated back so will fit the little lads for a while. Perfect for looking like a little prince whilst blowing out the candles, and also good for dressing up games to come!

I'm planning on trying to rid myself of my fabric scraps...so more of these coming soon....and hopefully will make it to my folksy shop. Let me know what you think???!!!!
